Nessie Croft is a freelance fashion practitioner currently based in Melbourne where she is completing her final year of Fashion Design BA with Honours at RMIT.  Nessie has been focusing on developing her textile-based practice, which explores the relationship between materiality and the wearer creating outcomes that challenge the viewer’s perception of traditional textile appropriation.

Clæne and previous projects are a reflection of a continuous research project based around the investigation of up-cycled fabric’s and their relationship to the wearer.  Her practice hopes to explore socially constructed boundaries towards discarded cloth to create outcomes that generate emotional connectivity with an aesthetic that encourages longevity.
